I'm adding a text field for a "gift message" that applies to items in my store. When I add multiple items to my cart that are the same product with different messages, the shipping cost starts acting funky either defaults to a flat rate or starts subtracting from the shipping total for the new items added. I am using the table rate shipping plug-in to calculate shipping costs. Basically, I want a $1.95 shipping fee added for each 1 item ordered (regardless of whether a gift message is added or not). This works when your plug-in is disabled. But once I activate your plug-in and add the "gift message" test field, the shipping costs no longer calculate properly.
Here is my real question... All i want to do is add a text field to my product pages that allows the user to enter in a message for each item ordered. There is NO FEE for this, so I don't want to have your plugin interact with my shipping costs at all. I can't seem to find a way to disable your plug-in from interacting with my pricing/shipping.
